Is probing into the private life of another person a violation of the right to privacy?
The extramarital sex activities of Tiger Woods did not diminish his performance as a superb golfer. Did sports reporters who followed Tiger Woods know about his sexual affairs? When the sports reporters at newspapers, magazines, and television gossip, it’s usually about gambling, steroids, drug use, and health problems. Perhaps the media assume that most athletes have active sex lives.
It was the National Enquirer that had the first news about Tiger’s extramarital sex. It then was picked up by TMZ and other gossip blogs and tabloid newspapers in New York and London. Perhaps one result of the Tiger Woods scandal is that it will change the sports media.

I have avoided the subject as much as possible. After all, I do not consider him to be my moral compass. Hearing as much as we do about the sexual indiscretions of our politicians and other public figures just makes me wonder: what made them think they could get away with it unnoticed?
